![]() ![]() I would highly recommend spending an extra $50 on a 4670 512Mb or similar dedicated GPU. ![]() That being said, in most every newer game (last 5 years or so) the x4500 is very weak. When you include the necessary platform improvements (new CPU, more and faster RAM), you will have a significantly faster system. Or to put it another way, if I get an X4500 integrated chipset, what "year" am I in, compared to the dedicated graphics cards from Nvidia, ATI, etc?Ĭompared to your ancient Matrox G400MAX, the x4500 IGP is pretty powerful. How does the X4500 stack up in that regard? Is it going to feel like an upgrade? How is it for old (but 3D nevertheless) games? I am currently playing games on a 9 year old Matrox G400MAX.
